Ford Ranger Diesel Battery (High-CCA Guide)

A modern diesel engine, like the one in your Ford Ranger (2.2, 3.2, or 2.0 Bi-Turbo), requires a massive, instant burst of power to start.

This is called CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). A standard car battery does not have enough CCA to reliably turn over a high-compression diesel engine, especially on a cold Alberton morning.
